Business or pleasure

Shortly after I moved back from Seattle Chris's work was sending him to LA for a work trip. He was their top salesman that quarter so he got to bring me. They took us to Knoxsbury Farm and to a USC game. We were there for 5 days. We were fed good food, got to drive in nice cars, and soak in some of the fabulous Cali sunshine. Not bad for a work trip, right?

 Adults ride rides too

We met Bart Simpson

We met the crew of Apollo 13

We cruised down Wysteria Lane (The set of Desperate Housewives)

We made our way to Steven Spielberg Drive

 We wrestled with Jaws

We went to the Water World show

We cheered

USC didn't end up winning, but it was a great game

An end to a fun trip

Bear Lake bound

In October of 2011 we got the privilege to stay in Hailee's family cabin up at Bear Lake. One night Ty, Hailee, and Chris and I were heading home from dinner in Salt Lake. We wanted to be spontaneous and do something we wouldn't normally do. Hailee mentioned that her cabin at Bear Lake was free that weekend. That settled it. We drove to our houses, picked up a few things, then we were Bear Lake bound! We didn't get up there until pretty late. We made the stupid decision to watch a scary movie up when we got there. For those of you who haven't seen Strangers I would recommend not doing so in a big, dark, secluded cabin.
The cabin was built by Hailee's family. Seriously, it's gorgeous. There are so many details and unique characteristics that I had to take some pictures.

Look at that view

Her parents bedroom and bathroom was breath taking

This is the room we stayed in.
One of many of the beautiful rooms.

I had to take a bath in that thing and it was fantastic.
The toilet on the right had a chain you had to pull to flush.

This was by far the most unique part of the cabin

This shower is bigger than the one I have at my house

You can't have a jail door and not lock someone in it.
Nor can you stop yourself from fake fighting a bear statue.

Time to go home

 Until next time.....Thanks Hailee!

To dress up or to not dress up?

The last two Halloweens we have been pretty lazy. Halloween 2011 we had no parties to go to, no reason to dress up, and no kids yet, so we stayed in and watched scary movies. I did make Chris, his brother, and his wife dress up with me long enough to take pictures. They were all good sports about it. :) Halloween 2012 we both got home from work late so we didn't even attempt dressing up. We just mosied down to our neighbors house to see our little buddy Reece dressed up and help hand out candy. We'll see how much motivation we have to dress up this year.

We didn't really have a theme
We had wigs and a pink guitar to work with

We're pretty hardcore

I miss living with these guys sometimes

We even got Tim to break out of his shell

He has been advised the mullet is a deal breaker in this relationship

I think we bought the hardest pumpkins on earth.
I consider myself a seasoned carver and not even my
skills could break through these bad boys.

 Yes honey, you're so scary

Chris's brother Eric passed away right before Halloween in 2010. Chris and I didn't meet until 6 months after this so I didn't get to meet him. But I know from the things I've heard about him that I would have loved him like everyone else that knew him did.  We were both going through hard times when we met, which I think only made us get closer faster. Chris told my mom once that he feels like I saved him. Truth is, I think we saved each other.
Halloween was Eric's favorite holiday. Tayler, Eric's daughter, carved a pumpkin to put on his grave. I can't imagine going through the hardships that she has had to face. She is such a strong, smart, beautiful, loving little lady. And I know her daddy is watching over her until they meet again.

This is the one picture we got of Millie in her shark
costume where she doesn't look like she hates her life

 No dressing up this year

You will be seeing a lot of this cute face.
Her name is Reece.
We have the best neighbors.

Trick or Treat!

Remarkable Me :o)

One boy, one girl

If any of you are anything like me you are just DYING to hear about the engagement. Don't worry I will get to that soon enough. To hold you over until I get to that here are a few random pics of me and the fella to show how we do this love thing.

These two pictures are from the beginning of this adventure.

 One of my very favorites

Yes, that is his stink face

 Good looking couple, right?

I still look at this man and get butterflies. He sure is sexy.

It's definitely not always easy, but he's worth it.
