Get ready for a photo overload. This was mine and Chris's first Christmas together. He was witnessing, for the first time, how crazy Christmas's are in my family. He's only had his parent's house to go to now he has my added my three stops. He was a very good sport about it. My family loves Chris and most of their love for him came from this Christmas. He won my grandparents over by making peanut brittle and caramel with his grandma for their gift. Then he won my mom and step dad over by playing Santa. Not only was he a team player with dressing up he also did a real Santa gesture. My step bro had brought his kids half brother with them that year without telling my mom. All the kids sit on Santa's lap and get presents, but she didn't have anything to give this little boy. Chris wasn't going to let him feel left out. He ran to the store and got a present for him. He left it on the door step and ran the door bell and ran. He told him that Santa didn't forget him he just wanted to get him something special. Yes, I know how lucky I am to have such a compassionate, sincere, sweet man. The bad part for him is that now he has set the bar so high for the person being Santa that my mom has told him he has to do it every year. lol Sorry babe.
Christmas morning we woke up at Tim and Sharla's and watched the kids open their presents. Then we had our own little Christmas downstairs. The rest of the day was filled with running around to the list of stops. Christmas has been chaotic for as long as I can remember. Honestly, I don't know any different and wouldn't have it any other way. It may get crazy at times, but I love the holidays and I love getting to spend them with my family.
First Christmas together....success. :)
Love,
Me
